The main idea behind my work is to use the traditional techniques of stained glass, vitreous paints and silver (yellow) stain in combination with glass fusing and slumping.

In the panel “Blue Core” I wanted to add a 3D effect to the piece therefore I made the centre piece by melting blue glass over a plaster mold. The intension was to create a gradation of the central blue colour and offset it against the brightly coloured and painted glass thereby creating a tension between the “calming introverted” central blue focal point and the “noisy extroverted” surrounding sections of the panel.
